Follow these 4 simple steps to start accepting payments on WooCommerce in under 5 minutes.

Install the Plugin in WordPress

1. Download the plugin archive: superchatbd-woocommerce.zip.

2. Open your WordPress Admin dashboard and navigate to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

3. Select the downloaded ZIP file and click Install Now.

4. Once uploaded, click Activate Plugin.

Get Your API Keys

1. Open your Superchat BD Developer Dashboard.

2. Under API Keys, copy your Secret Key:

  • For testing, use your Sandbox key starting with sk_test_...
  • For live transactions, use your Production key starting with sk_live_...

Configure Webhooks in Superchat BD

Webhooks notify your WooCommerce store as soon as a customer completes payment, updating the order to Processing or Completed automatically.

In your Superchat BD Dashboard → Webhooks → Add Endpoint:

  1. Paste your webhook URL into the Endpoint URL input.
  2. Select events: payment.completed, payment.failed, payment.cancelled, payment.refunded.
  3. Click Register Endpoint and copy the generated Webhook Secret (whsec_...).

Save Settings in WooCommerce

1. In your WordPress Admin, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments.

2. Click Manage next to Superchat BD.

3. Check Enable Superchat BD Payment Gateway.

4. Paste your API Keys and Webhook Secret.

5. Select Sandbox / Test Mode to test or Live Production Mode to go live.

6. Click Save changes. Your store is now ready to receive payments!

Frequently Asked Questions

Which currencies are supported?

Superchat BD natively processes BDT (settled through bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, and local cards via EPS) and USD (settled through Stripe and PayPal for international customers).

How do refunds work in WooCommerce?

When you click Refund in WooCommerce Order Details, the plugin automatically calls Superchat BD's refund endpoint. For USD transactions, funds are returned directly to the customer's card. For Bangladeshi MFS payments (bKash/Nagad), the platform records the refund and indicates manual MFS disbursement as required by Bangladeshi banking regulations.

Is an SSL certificate (HTTPS) required?

Yes. Production payments and webhook deliveries require an active HTTPS certificate on your WordPress site to ensure end-to-end encryption.
